Assumptions

Please read and accept the assumptions below:

1. Third party liability is not covered at your place of work.
2. You accept that previous, existing, ongoing, recurring medical conditions such as incidents, injuries and illnesses will not be covered by your pet insurance policy.
3. You accept that claims for vet fees following an illness or accident that occurred prior to, or within the first 14 days of your pet insurance policy start date will not be covered. Accidents will not be covered for the first 24 hours of your pet insurance policy start date.
4. You accept that claims for death benefits resulting from an illness or an accident that occurred prior to, or within the first 14 days of your pet insurance policy start date will not be covered. Claims for death from an accident happening within the first 24 hours of your policy start date will not be covered.
5. You are a resident of the United Kingdom, the owner and keeper of the pet, and the pet is kept in the United Kingdom at the address you have provided.
6. Your pet has no vicious tendencies or been trained to attack.
7. You confirm you are not the breeder of the pet, this cover is not available to pets that are part of a litter awaiting sale.
8. Your pet has not been the cause of any accident or legal action or third party liability claims.
9. You have never had any special terms imposed on a pet insurance policy covering your pet.
10. Your pet is not used for any guard, security, track racing, coursing, or used in connection to any business, trade, profession, commercial breeding or occupation.
11. You agree to take proper and reasonable care of your pet at all times, in line with the Animal Welfare Act.
12. Your pet must have received vaccinations/boosters within the last 12 months or as advised by your vet. If this is not the case, you accept that the medical conditions that your pet is normally protected against by such vaccinations/boosters will not be covered by this insurance policy.
13. You give permission that your veterinary practice or any veterinary practice treating your pet can openly discuss and receive information about your claims with your policy administrator (Insurance Factory Limited) where appropriate. This also includes the transfer of your claim via an electronic service using a third party application.
14. Your pet does not appear on the list of unacceptable breeds (see below).

Unacceptable Breeds

Any breed not showing within the breed picklist.

Any of the following breeds, or if either a crossbreed or a mongrel, not crossed with, or contain any previous mix of the following breeds: African Crested Dog, Akita, Alopekis, American Bandogge, American Bulldog, American Mancon, American Pit Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Bull Terrier, American Staghound, Argentinian Mastiff, Australian Dingo, Bandogge Mastiff, Bandogs, Boar Hounds, Boerboel, Bosanski Ostrodlaki Gonic, Bully Kutta, Canadian Eskimo Dog, Canadian Inuit, Canary Dog, Cane Corso, Cao Fila, Cattle Dog - Azores, Chinese Shar Pei, Cirneco Dell Etna, Czechoslovakian Wolfdog, Dingo, Dogo Argentino, Dogue Brasileiro, Dogue de Bordeaux, Eskimo Dog, Fila Braziliero, French Mastiff, Grand Bleu de Gascoigne, Hound - Bleu de G Petit, Indian Bear Hound, Portuguese Warren Hound, Inuit Dog, Irish Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Korean Jindo, Laika, Lybian Desert Dog, Mexican Hairless (Intermediate), Mexican Hairless (Miniature), Mexican Hairless (Standard), Mini-Pei, Neva Masquerade, New Guinea Singing Dog, New Zealand Herding Dog, Northern Inuit Dog, Ovtcharka - Various, Perro Cimarron, Perro De Pastor Mallorqui, Perro De Presa Canario, Peruvian Hairless Dog, Peruvian Inca Orchid, Pila, Pit Bull Terrier, Portuguese Podengo, Presa Canario, Racing Greyhound, Ridgeback - Thai, Saarloos Wolfhound, Segugios Italiano, Shar Pei, Sheepdog - Atlas, Sheepdog - Caucasian, Sheepdog - Central Asian, Sheepdog - Croatian, Sheepdog - Egyptian, Sheepdog - Himalayan, Shepherd Dog - Atlas, Shepherd Dog - Caucasian, Shepherd Dog - English, Tahltan, Tahltan Bear Dog, Tamaskan, Tosa Inu, Treeing Tennessee Brindle, Utonagan, Verelade, Wolf Dog, Wolf Hybrid, Wolfdog - Czechoslovakian, Wolfhound - Belgian, Wolfhound - Czechoslovaki, Wolfhound - Kunming, Wolfhound - Saarloos, Working Sheepdog, Yajivy, any animal registered under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 and The Dangerous Dogs (Northern Ireland) order 1991 or Dangerous Dogs (amendment) Act 1997 or any subsequent amendments.
